Random Sunday

So I have a few photos to share with you today – I have started to sell some of my photos on Redbubble. If you would like to check it out the link is  http://www.redbubble.com/people/sylime

some of the photos I am sharing below are available for sale. I am adding to the photos soon (on redbubble).

IMG_2889  New York City skyscrapers. I loved taking photos in NYC – I felt like I was the only one looking up at times though.

Img_5171ljkljlkj  A ferris wheel. I took this photo a few years ago now and I still love it. I love the colours against the blue sky. I didn’t go on the ferris wheel though – I get very motion sick, so I prefer to be on the ground.

IMG_0312  A bunch of kegs that was sitting beside a pub in Upnor in Kent, England. We were exploring the tiny village of Upnor and I saw these kegs and thought they were so great. I know that some people may not see what I see in them, but I love them :)

My niece saw this photo and she told me she hadn’t seen the kegs, so the next time we went to Upnor she tried to recreate my photo. I thought that was sweet.

Img_2706 New York City and the Brooklyn Bridge. I love this photo and I love this city. It makes me smile to see this photo and it brings back all the memories of such a good time I had in NYC.

I hope you have enjoyed my photos and be sure to go check out my redbubble page – buy yourself something, you know you want to ;)
Until next time…

Sunset at the lake

Tonight I was on my way home and saw the prettiest clouds in the sky – I really love clouds, they make me happy. Then I saw the sun setting over the lake. I was not at all prepared, but I snapped a photo while waiting at the traffic lights, then I rushed to the lake to take some photos. I think they turned out ok for the amount of time I had. I hope you enjoy as well.

IMAG2648 Waiting at the traffic lights – you can see the lake in the distance. The clouds are so awesome!

IMAG2652 sadly by the time I got to the lake, most of the clouds started to drift, but I still like them :)

Hope you enjoyed the photos, see you next week.
Until then…

Lunch at the lake

The other day I went to the lake for lunch. It was a great day – cool but sunny and super windy. So windy the lake had waves! The water was splashing up onto the footpath and I did get a bit wet as I took some photos. It made me laugh. Have a look at my photos :)

IMG_5387 I was feeding these seagulls my leftover lunch. There were actually a lot more of them, but as I started taking photos, they lost interest in me. Fickle little things.

IMG_5399 you have to love Australia – this sign says it all :)

IMG_5402 See the water splashing up on the footpath? That was a small splash. :)

Hope you enjoyed – I think I missed last week’s post actually. (this was last week’s post) so I may add some more photos in the coming days.
Until next time…

Bar Beach NSW Australia

The other day I went for a drive around the beach (as I tend to do a lot). The water was magnificent and the temperature was acceptable. I was so upset that of course I didn’t have my camera with me. I stopped and took some photos with my phone – which I will now share with you here. Some photos are better than no photos I suppose.

I loved how clear the water was and all the pretty shades of blue and green. I am truly blessed to live where I do, even if sometimes I take it for granted.

Until next time..

Portraits

I love taking photos of people more than anything else. I always have, since I was in school. I was the one who always brought her camera to school and has boxes filled with photos of everyone at various ages. If I had to choose something to take photos of for the rest of my life – it would be people. I took most of these photos years ago, but I thought I would share them. The one of the boy taking a “selfie” at the beach was a recent one. I found it quite amusing that while he wanted to document the moment with a selfie, I was taking a photo of him with a DSLR. I hope you enjoy the photos – see you next week.

Sunrise at Nobbys Beach

This morning I was up watching the news and feeling quite at odds with everything that is going on in the world. So I thought I would do something that made me feel happy – take photos. So off I went to the beach to take photos of the morning. The colours were so pretty, until the sun showed itself, then it was quite ordinary. But it made me feel content just the same.

I hope you enjoy the photos below. Until next time…

Hello and happy new year to you!

I have made myself a goal this year (I am not big on the New Year’s Resolutions, so I shall call them goals). I shall be trying my hardest to post something in my blog every single week. :) I don’t know if I will be able to keep up with it, but it shouldn’t be that hard really. I am a person who takes photos almost every day (I just need to put my phone down again and pick up my camera!)
So today I went to a town that I used to go to a lot as a child. I took a few photos – which I have posted on http://www.caughtwithinframe.wordpress.com (I am a regular poster on that blog). I have one that I didn’t post on that page today and I have another that I did, but it is a different angle hehe.

Until next time…
